in good vintage condition

this is a very vintage ring and it's had some lifetimes and has picked up some time-earned quirks, most notably that at some point the center stone was secured in the setting using epoxy, which is visible from the underside of the setting. perhaps the stone became loose in its setting and this was the creative solution?
