Bronze, of typical form with lenticular bezel, possibly once with a signet. The band cut and the ends twisted together and hammered smooth. The form, now rectangular suggests that it was wrapped around an object, perhaps a dagger handle, now perished. This type of burial item is very rare in Roman culture and likely from a cult within Roman pagan mythology. Fine patina as found.
